This team will serve downtown for a week at the Atlanta Dream Center. You will server alongside our partners to share the love of Christ with the often-forgotten and neglected segment of society, bringing Jesus to the street corners and meeting needs in practical ways. The Atlanta Dream Center is about spreading the love and transforming power of Christ to everyone they meet, becoming a catalyst for people to become the church. This team will shine their light into some of the dark Guatemalan communities living in extreme poverty. You will be able to bring hope to the lost, the least, and the last. Come invest a week serving the broken and neglected in Guatemala.

This is a 9-day opportunity to come face-to-face with people who speak, think, and live differently than we do and gain God's heart for a lost world. Get a taste of what God is doing in East Asia and catch a vision of how you can be a part of the spiritual movement that is taking place there. This trip takes place during KSU's Spring Break. Come invest a week of your time reaching students for Christ.  

 

Guatemala Family-Eagle's Nest Orphanage (CLOSED)

Pray for this North Metro family team who will be serving at Eagle's Nest Orphanage in Guatemala, April 3 - 11, 2010. Like our college team, this family team led by Dustin & Hayden Dunn will help care for orphans, work on a specific service project, and minister to the community.

Zimbabwe is a nation in extreme crisis. Inflation is soaring above 10,000%, unemployment has reached 94% and roughly 1-2 million children have been orphaned by the AIDS pandemic. Many roam the nation in search of food and shelter. This team will work with our partners in Zimbabwe to distribute food and minister to the orphans. The team will also be able to assemble and distribute free wheelchairs to those in need within the community. If you have a desire to stand by orphans providing a hope, a family, and a future to the youth of Zimbabwe then this is the trip for you.

Mexico - Reaching Children in Huixquilucan  [APPLY]

This student team will serve the children of Huixquilucan along with our mission partners, Fernando and Cindy Napoles. Students will have the opportunity to come alongside the local church and serve them through drama, games, songs, and service projects.

 

As in previous years, this trip has been specifically designed for students. Due to the high number of interested participants, this opportunity will be first extended to Senior High students and their parents. Senior High students who want to apply for the team without a parent will be considered on an individual basis. However, we strongly encourage parents to lead their teenagers by also participating.

 

England - Young Life for a Herfest Reunion  [APPLY]

This student team will return to the town of Hertford, England to be a part of a week-long ministry called Herfest. They will serve alongside our global partners (Michael and Beth Ann Hunter), others in their Young Life ministry organization, local churches, and other Christian organizations in Herford.

 

The aim is to love ans serve the town of Hertford in the name of Christ by providing car washes, gardening, finanicial counseling, dance classes, football matches, a skate park for kids, nightly events for different age groups, and more. The last day of the event will be a day-long carnival party for the whole town of Hertford. The hope is to impact the entire town of Hertford by serving them and sharing the love of Christ in a meaningful and relevant way.

 

This Trip has been specifically designed for former Sublime students and high school juniors and seniors.

NOTE: This trip will return on the first day of school for Cobb County . Rising Seniors on this trip will miss the first day of school.

 

Hungary - Bringing in the Hungarian Harvest  [APPLY]

For years, North Metro has sent a team to partner with the leadership of Campus Crusade for Christ in Budapest, Hungary. Those on the team were able to experience firsthand the incredible things God is doing to bring Hungarians and those from around the Balkans to Christ!

 

Once again, North Metro has been invited to help distribute thousands of "Student Survival Kits" on college campuses in the city of Budapest. They will then begin the follow-up process with those who express an interest in knowing more about Christ. About 60% of the students speak conversational English, so no special ministry skills are needed. Therefore, if you can carry on a conversation and have a desire to share the Gospel, then you qualify for this trip!
