The Great Commission passage found in Matthew 28 defines both the goal and scope of World Evangelization. The goal is to make disciples and the scope is of all nations. In Acts 1:8 the scope is divided into four areas which are to be approached in parallel, rather than sequentially –
Jerusalem, Judea, Samaria, and the Ends of the Earth.
Targeted Areas...The role of the Global Outreach Ministry is to focus on Making a Difference
in our Samaria and the Ends of the Earth.
Jersusalem - ministry opportunities to believers and unbelievers within the church which are within the normal personal influence of the people of NMC and other growing churches, e.g. ministry within Community Groups, Worship Services.
Judea - ministry opportunities to unbelievers outside the church who are within the normal personal influence of the people of North Metro Church and other growing churches, e.g. ministry to co-workers, neighbors, those who are unchurched, and seekers.
Samaria - cross-cultural ministry opportunities which are beyond the normal personal influence of the people of NMC or other growing evangelical churches, although not geographically difficult to reach, e.g. Persian Church in Atlanta, intercity ministry.
Ends of the Earth - cross-cultural ministry opportunities which are beyond the normal personal influence of the people of NMC or other growing churches, and are geographically difficult to reach, e.g. ministries in Russia, ministries in North Africa.
