Operation Christmas Child

Shoeboxes for Operation Christmas Child (Samaritan's Purse) will be collected the weeks of November 2, 9, and 16. Brochures will be available at the kiosk in the main lobby and at the collection tables beginning Sunday, October 26 with the list of acceptable items to include. Consider filling one or more shoeboxes for children who have suffered because of war, natural disaster, poverty, illness, or neglect in countries all over the world. The Women's Ministry is collecting items for the shoeboxes each month. These items will be taken to the Distribution Center to be added to shoeboxes which need these items. You can bring your donations on Wednesday mornings during Bible Study or call Cheryl Wahlmeier at 770-974-9740 or by email at wahlmeierb@bellsouth.net.

The items to be collected are as follows:

• September - school supplies (crayons, coloring books, pencils, paper)
• October - toothpaste, toothbrushes, washclothes, and bars of soap (please place soap in small Ziploc bags)
• November - any type of hard candy (Smarties, LifeSavers, Tootsie Rolls, lollipops, gum, jawbreakers) (nothing that can melt)
