Isaiah 55:10 & 11 says, “As the rain and snow come down from
heaven, and do not return to it without watering the earth and making
it bud and flourish, so that it yields seed for the sower and bread for
the eater, so is my word that goes out from my mouth: it will not
return to me empty, but will accomplish what I desire and achieve the
purpose for which I sent it.”
This is our purpose in
teaching; to plant seeds of truth into the hearts of young children. We
trust that the truth that we are planting will be cultivated and God
will accomplish his purpose in the lives of our children!
How we teach:
Large Group Format: Beginning
at age two, the Preschool Ministry provides a time of worship and
teaching for children. During this worship time, children will
experience songs, prayer, drama, and scripture memorization.
This is a creative, high energy time of worship.
Small Group Format: At
the beginning of each service, children meet in individual, age
appropriate rooms and return to their rooms prior to dismissal. In
their rooms, children experience hands on activities and a time of teaching that reinforce the
lesson for the day.
What we teach:
Throughout the preschool years, we want children to know 5 basic truths, which will lay the foundation for future teaching:
1. The Bible is God’s Word.
2. All of God’s Words are true.
3. We can talk to God anytime, anywhere and about anything.
4. Jesus is God’s Son.
5. God loves me.
6. There is only ONE true God.
The Books in Motion strategy is a fun way to equip a new generation of Christ Seekers with a tool they’ll use for a lifetime. It is a multi-sensory approach that teaches students the books of the Old Testament in order. In addition to learning the books in order, the hand motions remind students of a story from each of the books. This is a great skill the students will use as they become independent readers of God’s Word.
