We want to help you grow in your personal journey of finding and following Jesus beyond Sunday morning. Part of the journey is your spiritual growth, but another part is leading well in your day-to-day life. As you live out your faith in the world around you, NMC is committed to give you a place to grow in your relationship with Jesus, no matter where you are in your faith journey. We also want to help you develop your leadership skills outside of the walls of the church, and into the places where God has given you influence.

Discipleship Track

Our Discipleship Track is a new, web-based tool to help you grow in your faith. Beginning with a personal assessment, the track contains 20 modules on different topics focused on spiritual growth. Each module has a detailed reading section to explain the topic, memory verses to teach you Scripture, questions for reflection, and additional resources on the subject. This is a great tool to learn at your own pace or you can use the Discipleship Track with a friend or in a small group.

Sunday Classes

Foundations I: The Story of God

Dates: September 8, 15, & 22 and November 3, 10, & 17
What is the greatest story ever told? Do you know your place in that story? The truth is that there's only one story and it is God's. He invites us into his story, one where He rescues us out of our deepest need because of his great love for us. This 3-week class will cover the foundational elements of the story of God - the big problem (our sin), God's solution for it (Jesus' sacrifice on the cross), and our response (trusting Jesus for our salvation). Be courageous enough to take this first step and join other truth-seekers in exploring your place in God's story!

Religion vs Relationship

Cost: $5/person
Do you consider yourself 'religious' but are unsure of how those beliefs relate to the teachings of Jesus? Maybe you wonder if what Jesus said is any different than other religious beliefs or how to resolve those contradictions intellectually.

Religion can be confusing because it means different things to different people. Jesus wants to remove the false expectations & assumptions and instead invite us into a relationship with Him. This class will help you differentiate between man-made rules and what the Bible says about having a relationship with Jesus. Topics will include: Are there multiple paths to God? Is it okay to have questions about faith? Is our happiness the ultimate goal in life? What does Jesus says about heaven?

Come learn how to reconcile the ambiguity of 'religion' with the truths taught by Jesus in the Bible!

Emotionally Healthy Spirituality

Cost: $10/person
Each of us is wonderfully, marvelously created in the image of God to do things far beyond our imaginations for His eternal purposes. Yet, there is more to all of us than meets the eye and it is the underneath that most often influences our day-to-day, our decisions, how we respond or react to others and how we feel about them, ourselves, and God. The premise of Emotionally Healthy Spirituality (EHS) is that it is impossible to be spiritually mature without being emotionally mature. EHS sets you on the course towards emotional maturity. This class is all about tending to life below the surface. Come and let’s grow stronger and deeper together.
