Holy Week

Sunday, March 28 - Saturday, April 3

We invite you to journey with us through Holy Week. Whether you'll be joining us in-person, on NMC+, or a mix of both, we look forward to joining together as we anticipate our Risen Savior.

SUNDAY

Palm Sunday Services
Sunday, March 28 | 9:30am & 11:30am
Palm Sunday marks the beginning of Holy Week, the day of Jesus’s triumphal entry into Jerusalem, where the culmination of history and expectations were beginning to meet. Reserve your seat to join us on campus or tune in on NMC+.

MONDAY

Holy Monday Devotional
Monday, March 29 | 8:00pm
Led by NMC's Kid's Pastor, Nathan Woodward. We'll begin to prepare for Easter as we examine our idols, tear down walls, and truly look to Jesus, who makes all things new.

TUESDAY

Holy Tuesday Devotional
Tuesday, March 30 | 8:00pm
Led by NMC's Student Pastor, Derek McClardy. Even in the events of Easter, we see the central teaching "love the Lord...and love your neighbor" embodied. We'll see from Scripture how we can follow this teaching and the example of Jesus this Easter and thereafter.

WEDNESDAY

Holy Wednesday Devotional
Wednesday, March 31 | 8:00pm

THURSDAY

Maundy Thursday Communion
Thursday, April 1 | 6:00am-8:00pm
The NMC campus will be open for self-led communion in the Theater. We invite you to come and take communion as a remembrance of Jesus's body being broken for us for the forgiveness of our sins. This environment will include soft music, Scripture to read, and a set aside time of self reflection and prayer.

Can't join us on-campus? Join us digitally on NMC+ live.northmetro.org.

Maundy Thursday Devotional
Thursday, April 1 | 8:00pm
Led by NMC's Lead Pastor, Rob McDowell. We'll visit the upper room in the last supper passage found in Luke 22 and unpack the new covenant that was made.

FRIDAY

Stations of the Cross Experience
Friday, April 2 | 7:00am-9:00pm

For centuries, the Church has taken Good Friday as an opportunity to not only remember, but to revisit, relive, and in some senses, reenact the events leading up to the crucifixion of Jesus. And this year at NMC, we want to provide you with an opportunity to do the same thing. To relive the journey of Jesus to the cross and to sit in reflection and deeper contemplation of his suffering, sacrifice, and love demonstrated on Good Friday.

To do this, we are setting up a self-led Stations of the Cross Experience on our outdoor Pavilion for you and your family. These, “stations” will simply be pictures set up that capture and artistically depict a particular event leading to the cross that you can all reflect on together. To accompany this, we have also put together a guide that contains an activity, reflection prompts, and prayers for your family to pray together as you walk the stations.

We hope this will help enrich your experience this Good Friday and this Easter season as we practice these beautiful traditions in a fresh, new, and engaging way.

Good Friday Service
Friday April, 2 | 7:00pm
We can’t properly celebrate the resurrected Jesus without first meditating on His suffering on the cross that Friday. Join us for worship and a Good Friday message from our Discipleship Pastor, Matt Johnston as we reflect on the crucifixion of Jesus Christ.

Next Generation ministries will not be available during this service. Reservations can be made for all aged children to join their parents in the service.

This service will be streaming live on our digital campus, NMC+. Tune in by visiting live.northmetro.org.

Seating Explanation:
Indoor Seating / Auditorium & Theater - Live worship and teaching will happen in our main Auditorium and sent out to our other campus simulcast environments. Our second-floor Theater is a simulcast environment with worship and teaching shown on a projection screen. Reserving a seat indoors will ensure a seat in one of these areas. Please note, once the Auditorium is at capacity, all indoor seating reservations will be fulfilled in the Theater.

Outdoor Seating / Pavilion - The outdoor Pavilion will be closed for this service to make space for our Stations of the Cross Experience.
