Winter 2019

Women's Bible Studies

Join us for a Women’s Bible study this year! Here at NMC we hold high the Word of God and seek to study it, know it and apply it to our lives. Doing this in a group setting provides an opportunity to study together and learn from each other. Please prayerfully consider what the Lord wants to teach you in this season of life!

We will offer two sessions – Winter and Spring. Start and end dates for each study will vary. (Spring Session studies will be announced in February and begin the week of March 4.) Registration for Bible studies is required and participants are responsible for purchasing their own book.

NMC Bible studies are offered at various days and times throughout the week and childcare is offered only for Wednesday morning studies with registration. Childcare registration can be found on the same form as the Bible study registration below.

Tuesday Mornings 6:30am-8:00am

An Unexplainable Life

Facilitators: Connie Allen & Melissa Crosby
Dates:
January 8 - March 19

In only fifty days Peter was radically transformed. He went from being a man in the shadows denying even knowing Jesus, to a man boldly proclaiming the resurrection of Jesus in the middle of the temple courts. How did the change occur? And more importantly, can such a change occur within us - today, in the here and now?

For fifty days, I invite you to dwell in the first twelve chapters of Acts. Here we meet Peter face-to-face and encounter the source of his power. We become challenged to grab hold of that power ourselves, believing that God wants to do something in and through us that is unexplainable apart from Him. Let’s give God fifty days and see what He might do.

The purpose of this study isn’t simply to reiterate a message. (You can find many studies on Acts.) Our purpose is to reignite a movement of the power of the Holy Spirit in each of us individually and in our churches collectively. Are you ready?

Words are powerful. Especially the words women speak toEspecially the words women speak to themselves. All too often, what they say to themselves when they lie in bed at night or look in the mirror in the morning is not even close to the words God wants them to speak to their souls. According to Rothschild, what we think about often has a ripple effect on nearly every area of our lives.
