BAPTISM AT NMC

Acts 10:48 | 1 Peter 3:21 | Colossians 2:12 | Metthew 28:1-120
In regard to Sacraments, we believe there are two ordinances of the Church, the believer's baptism and communion. Water baptism is only intended for those who have received the saving benefits of Christ through the new birth of the Holy Spirit. In obedience to Christ’s command and as a testimony to God, the Church, oneself and the world, believers are baptized by water in the name of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit. Water baptism is a visual and symbolic demonstration of a person’s union with Christ in the likeness of His death and resurrection. It signifies that a former way of life has been put to death and vividly depicts the release from the mastery of Satan, sin and death. The water itself does not save. Only our faith in and through the sufficiency of Christ’s death and resurrection alone is how salvation is accomplished.

Adult Baptism

Whether you have accepted Christ recently at NMC or maybe somewhere else years ago, but have never been baptized, we want to celebrate with you!

Baptism is symbolic of the death, burial and resurrection of Christ. Once you have accepted Jesus as your Lord and Savior, baptism is a way for us to publicly declare our new life in Christ. It is also a step of obedience based on God’s commands and allows us to follow the example of Jesus, who submitted himself to baptism to "fulfill all righteousness." If you have accepted Christ, we would love to baptize you and share this special decision with you to go public with your faith!

NMC's baptism class is a time to meet with one of our Teaching Pastors in a group setting to review our beliefs and ensure you are ready for baptism. At the class we will also schedule your baptism and share more information on the process. To let us know of your interest to be baptized, please complete the form.
