Disobedience begins when we trust our preferences more than we trust God's heart.
In week 1, we meet Jonah, hear God's assignment, and watch him head in the opposite direction, fast. It'd be easy to make this a simple "obey or else" story, but that's not the real issue. Jonah's problem isn't logistics. He doesn't want what God wants. His refusal comes from a deeper place: he wants the right to decide who deserves mercy.
