Community Groups

A Community Group is an intentional gathering of 8-12 adults who meet regularly. Life flows in seasons and we want to make it easy for you to be in the right Community Group in each season. This is why we have new groups that start and stop two times a year in what we refer to as semesters. Our group semesters are fall (August-November), winter/spring (January-May). Our Community Groups are sermon-based, studying along with our message from the weekend.

Community Groups provide a place for us to grow, care and serve.

GROW – Together we study the Word, following a sermon-based curriculum.

CARE – We provide practical help and personal encouragement to one another.

SERVE – Side by side with group members, we seek to serve others.

Out of our mission statement, We Help People Find and Follow Jesus, we’ve set a God-sized goal to see 80% of NMC attendees in Community Groups by the year 2020. Our prayer is to see every person at North Metro Church following closer to Jesus by getting into community and digging into His Word.

Ready to join a Community Group?

If you’re new to NMC we highly encourage you to attend our Welcome Home class. There you’ll meet other new families and together dive into what it looks like to find and follow Jesus, connect to the church, discover your purpose and serve with your God-given spiritual gifts.

If you’ve attended Welcome Home and haven’t found a group or are transitioning from a different group, Group Connect is for you. Our four-week Group Connect event happens at various times throughout the year as a place to match those looking for a group and trained leaders looking to build new groups.
